The stainless steel blades cut through my retriever's mats way faster than the plastic trimmer I had before. It's light enough that my wrist doesn't ache halfway through, which was my main gripe with the old one.
My cockapoo hates grooming but the stainless steel blade went through her tangles without pulling once. The handle felt comfortable even after twenty minutes of clipping.
I've been clipping my terrier's matted patches every couple weeks and the stainless steel blades stay sharp without snagging. The handle sits comfortably in my hand even during longer sessions.
