Took my boxer on a five-mile trail walk and the split collar sat comfortably above his shoulders the whole time without rubbing. The mesh back kept him from getting too hot, and switching between the leash and harness mode was easier than I expected.

The adjustable collar actually stays put on our walks instead of sliding around like our old harness did. The mesh breathes well enough that my dog doesn't overheat on longer trips.

The split collar sits high enough that it doesn't rub against my dog's neck, and the mesh lining keeps him from overheating on our longer afternoon walks. The adjustable straps took a minute to dial in, but once set it stays put.
